(Again, If you are going to carry this pistol then DO NOT use Ghost's accompanying spring kit.)Ĭlick to expand.
The other way to obtain a decent trigger stop on a Glock is to use one of Ghost's connectors with a 'TCT' (or ' Trigger Control Tab' on it but this will require some light gunsmithing and fitting on your part. (I use J-B Weld paste on my THU's (Trigger Housing Unit) stops and, believe me, these stops are in for life!) If this Glock is going to be an EDC pistol then, once you are POSITIVE that the stop is properly adjusted, it should be permanently glued with Loctite 'Metal/Concrete', or otherwise epoxied in place.
The easiest trigger stop to install is the THU type with an integral (Allen screw) stop in it. Whatever you do DO NOT CHANGE the angle of the sear plate's rear edge-Do not! Second, install some sort of trigger stop and/or a ' 3.5 lb' (a euphemism) connector. If you are up to the task, and not everybody is, I am going to suggest two things that will most definitely improve your Glock's factory trigger:įirst, do a ' 25¢ trigger job' and concentrate on both the striker lug's forward face, the rear edge of the sear plate, and the area around the connector's ' shelf' (or cantilever). (The striker safety cam and button arrangement is NOT a cause of additional trigger creep it is a cause of additional trigger pull resistance, instead.)Īre you aware that repeated (second or third, etc.) quick shots from a Glock are always smoother and less ' creepy' than much rougher first or slow-fired shots? That first shot/slow-fire creep is a direct measurement of the effect the lug's front face AND connector shelf have as they press against the trigger bar. One is the drag along the connector's ' shelf', and the other is caused by hard contact between the face of the striker lug and the angled sear or ' kick' plate at the back of the trigger bar. There are only two causes of ' trigger creep' in a Glock's striker-fired trigger mechanism.
(That's not an insult.) Do you even know the difference between ' the wall', and Glock's very necessary ' trigger take-up'? I don't even think that you're a heavily experienced one. Know what? I can tell you're not a ' super shooter'.
